Akeredolu Reacts To Arrest Of Owo Church Attackers

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has confirmed the arrest of a number of the attackers of St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

SapaTV earlier reported that the Defence Headquarters had stated the Nigerian navy arrested the killers of 40 worshippers on the Catholic Church on June 5.
The Chief of Defence Employees,Normal Fortunate Irabor, acknowledged this on Tuesday throughout a media parley on the Defence Headquarters, Abuja.
Irabor disclosed that the attackers had been arrested by the navy in collaboration with different safety businesses, including that thesuspects could be paraded after the continuing investigation had been concluded on the matter.
Talking to reporters in Akure on Tuesday, Akeredolu disclosed that the suspects had been arrested final week and he has seen the pictures of the suspects.
The governor stated 5 of the attackers had been arrested by the safety operatives, including that they had been on the path of the opposite suspects.
He stated I can affirm what the CDS have stated. They had been arrested final week and the pictures of the suspects had been forwarded to me.
About 5 of them have been arrested whereas theyre on the path of others.
Naija Newsrecalls that unknown gunmen on Sunday, June 5,invadedthe Catholic church and killed at the very least 40 worshippers and injured many others.
